Here there be Dragon’s Recap/Lost and Found/Thank yous/Special mention

Thank yous:

·              A special thank you goes to Smiling Bull Tavern, who graciously and skillfully provided and excellent feast for the event.

·               Thanks to Lady Enelynne von Knoff , who organized the troll table.

·               Thank you to Lord Hummar, who organized all the fighting schedule

·               Another Thanks to m’Lord Ronin, who organized set up and take down.

·               Thanks to m’Lady Kei, who kept our fighters well hydrated.

·               Thank you to m’Lord Oni, who organized security.

·               Thank you also to Lady Giovanna di Meir, who hosted such a fun wonderful event and her heralding for all tournaments.

Recap:

·             We had a special site token competition.  Using blank puzzle pieces - it was set forth to find other gentles that had the other pieces to complete the puzzle.  The winner was m’Lady Lexie (age 3) who returned her complete puzzle in 4 hours from signing into to troll herself.  Her puzzle team received cookies with icing and sprinkles.

·             There was also a volunteer competition.  Only a handful registered at troll to keep track, but I viewed many good gentles pitching in throughout the event.  Thank you!  However, the winner was m’Lady Bridget (plattefordham) who helped with troll, security, setup and takedown.  She started on Thursday for set up and was one of the last to leave the site after take down.  Bridget will get good use out of the cloak that was donated!

·             There were heavy tournaments.  Winners of the tournaments were Syr Mav (Windkeep), Lord Hummar (Plattefordham).  Her Excellency, Kaleria received a special honor of best chivalry on the field.  My apologies, as I may have missed one.

·             There was one light tournament; Lord Jethro (Caertha) defeated very graciously his many foes.

Fundraiser:

·         The Shire did have a fundraiser, selling event t-shirts (designed by THL Conall Mór MacNachtan, from Drygestan).  The money went to the re-building of the shires storage shed.  It raised about $150.00.  Thank you everyone who bought a shirt.  Shirts are still available if you would like one, please let the shire know! 

Special mentioning:

·         A Huzzah to the youth of the event!  M’Lady Wind (Windkeep) organized the youth in a challenge; Pick up a cigarette butt and you get 1 penny.  The one who brought in the most butts would get an added prize (chocolate coins).  The run down of the challenge is as follows)
